City Hub Initiative is a non-profit organization that was developed in Vancouver, and is currently based out of the Dutch Urban Design Centre on West Georgia. We value inclusivity and transparency, and hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards. Our mission is to connect young change-makers in a collaborative environment to develop innovative projects, foster creativity, and provide engaging learning opportunities.
City Hub Initiative arose from a need noted by co-founders Kimberley, Aaron, and Jake. We learned first-hand that passionate and energetic, young, potential change-makers are often held back by the simplest of circumstances; lacking meeting space, inadequate office supplies, or lack of funding. This is not due to lack of motivation, time, or ideas, but purely a lack of basic infrastructure and resources. City Hub Initiative was developed with these people and these projects in mind. City Hub Initiative was designed by young change-makers for young change-makers, serving as a catalyst to facilitate projects that will directly benefit Vancouver.
Most recently, City Hub Initiative has just incorporated as a non-profit society and has added four new members to our team. We are gearing up to host informational and networking events, and to grow the number of groups using the space. We have many goals, and hope you will consider partnering with us moving forward!
